IN ORDER TO HAVE A MORE REPRESENTATIVE HANDICAP FOR THE JACKET EVENT. PLAYERS MUST HAVE AT LEAST 10 ROUNDS LISTED ON THEIR HANDICAP CARD PRIOR TO THE JACKET EVENT THEY PLAY IN FOR THEIR SCORES TO COUNT FOR THE JACKET EVENT.
We have a season long event called the jacket event. There are five designated club rounds every season that fall into this. You must play in at least four of the five events to be considered for this prestigious award. It is handicapped and your best four rounds in relation to par count. In other words, the more under par you are with your handicap, the better off you are. The winner gets $100 toward the purchase of a blue blazer. It is presented at our season ending banquet. If you need further explanation talk to any officer.
You must have at least 10 scores listed on your handicap card prior to the jacket event you play in, for your score to count for the jacket event. The reason for the 10 score minimum, is to give a better indication of a truer handicap.
The Dates for the Jacket events are typically in:
June
July
and our Sept. outing
