The Mike Lewandowski Most Improved Golfer
This award goes to members who were in the club the previous year.
It is named after a former member Mike Lewandowski who died unexpectedly a few years ago. His family dedicated a bench with his name on it at the tenth tee. It's the nicest bench on the course. When he died Mike was our handicap chairman. He was well liked and the club wanted to do something to honor his memory. We came up with this most improved golfer award. The winner is determined by the WSGA which makes stats like this available to the clubs. The winner gets a trophy and his name engraved on a plaque in the clubhouse.
Last years winner was Bill Hoffmann, who was also the runner up to the club champion, Larry Kleineider last year.
