New this year all tournament entries will have to be taken off the internet MCPLA site. They will no longer be available at the course. This will be a cost saving measure to the MCPLA. We have a link to both the MCPLA and the WSGA on our site.

Helpful 2010 County News for Members
Changes in the point system this year:

1. Points will start being awarded for County courses starting on March 25 thru Nov. 15.

2. Points needed for free rounds have changed for example at Grant you need 220 points to get 18 holes of free golf.

3. Points are awarded for golf fees, 1 point per dollar.

4. The total points earned are always printed at the bottom of your golf receipt.

5. For all the info pick up a brochure at the course next time you play.

SATURDAY MAY 8 @ WHITNALL 7:00 SHOTGUN START

SUNDAY JUNE 6 @ GREENFIELD 7:00 SHOTGUN START

SATURDAY JULY 3 @ BROWN DEER 7:00 SHOTGUN START

SATURDAY AUGUST 7 @ DRETZKA 7:00 SHOTGUN START

SUNDAY AUG. 15 @ CURRIE 7:00 SHOTGUN START

So you ask, what did I do in Florida? Well I was trying to recruit new members. You may recognize the guy standing next to me from Bay Hill. He said he would consider joining Grant when Bay Hill is not in the picture for him. What a thrill, PRICELESS!!!
What a great guy to take the time for us. SUPER NICE !!

MIKE TOMSEVICS HAS AN ACE ON #15
Just 2 days into the scoring season & Tomsevics peaked.

Rumor has it he was trying to impress the new second team captain Steve Amble. Well, mission accomplished!
Congratulations Mike on your first hole in one!!!
Mike carved a 2 hybrid into the green and Steve & Russ Jankowski saw it go in. Mike turned away after he hit the shot & never saw it go in. Personally, I try to peak later in the year.

RICH LUCZKOWSKI WINS FIRST WSGA SENIOR
TOUR EVENT OF THE YEAR @ BLUEMOUND CC.
BOB GERSZEWSKI COMES IN AT #6.
Rich had 40 net points in the Stableford format & Bob had 35. Rich is now qualified to play in the season finale at Wild Rock on Sept. 15.

Arnold Walker presents Rich Luczkowski with the Flight C Sr. Mid Am Championship trophy on May 23 2010. This was very special because it was the last time Mr. Walker will be the tournament dir. for this event. I would like to thank him for all the years, time, & effort he put into this event as well as the Arnold Walker county championship which will be held at Dretzka this year on August 28 & 29.

So you ask, "what's hotter than the weather?" Well my friend the answer is Mike Tomsevics. My sources informed me today Friday June 25 at Oakwood, Mike used an 8 iron to ace the 17 hole. Among his playing group were Steve Amble, and Brian McKinley. Mike used the ace to spring board to a nifty 77. I stand corrected when I said he may have peaked too soon, after his first ace earlier in the year at Grant. Keep it up Mike we look forward to a few more news blurbs like this one.

Chuck nearly drove the green and left himself about 15 yards to the front middle pin. he calmly pulled out his sand wedge and
hit a perfect shot that found the bottom of the hole. Nice going Chuck!!

Another "ACE" in the club. This time it's not MikeT.
It's BILL ROEWER!! My sources tell me it was at Rivermoor about 170 yds. I'm pretty sure it was his first. Nice going Bill. Let's have a few more. There's plenty of nice weather left and more golf to be played.
