USGA Rules apply except as modified by the following:
ANY AND ALL OF OUR CLUB EVENTS MUST BE ENTERED AS TOURNAMENT SCORES. ENTER YOUR SCORE AT THE COURSE AFTER YOU PLAY. IT IS EASY AND ONLY TAKES ABOUT 45 SECONDS. If you need help just ask one of the guys you played with, they will be happy to assist you. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP AN UP TO DATE HANDICAP. Handicaps are calculated every two weeks during the season which is April 1 thru October 31.
1. EMBEDDED BALL RULE: Local rule in effect through the green. Appendix I
2. OBSTRUCTIONS: Relief from all artificially surfaced roads, sides of roads & paths, guide wires supporting trees, flower beds, drainage ditches (French drains), buildings, bridges, etc. (except in a hazard). "Anything artificially erected or placed on the golf course". Nearest point of relief, plus one club length, no nearer the hole. NO PENALTY
3. Stones in bunkers ARE moveable obstructions. Rule 24-1 & 24-2 apply.
4. Distance only measuring devices will be allowed in our club events.
5. Cell phone use is ONLY permitted in our Grant Park Mens Club events. If this presents a problem we will re-address this issue during the season. Please notify Rich Luczkowski if you experience any problems with this. I will address each situation. I do not anticipate any problems with this because I know our members respect the game of golf and the rights of the players with them.
